Amblè
A tucked-away piazzetta bar near Ponte Vecchio where three-layer tramezzini, Tuscan pasta and pinsa lead into signature cocktails, natural wines and sets from the in-house web radio.
Amblè hides in the tiny Piazzetta dei Del Bene, a few steps from Ponte Vecchio, and calls itself the master of the tramezzino. The Club Carne stacks three layers of roast Tuscan ham, asiago, frittata and pancetta with the house mayonnaise, and the kitchen reaches further with tortelli mugellani in Tuscan ragù, a proper vitello tonnato and crisp pinsa topped with mortadella and stracciatella. Ingredients are sourced locally, and the room is built from iron, wood and recycled paper. After dark the focus turns to signature cocktails and artisan wines while Radio Amblè broadcasts live from inside the bar.
Best for: Tramezzini by day, cocktails and DJ sets by night
