Locale Firenze fills Palazzo Concini, whose layers run from thirteenth century cellars to sixteenth century rooms once home to Bartolomeo Concini, a powerful adviser to Cosimo I de' Medici. The old carriage courtyard is now a bar built on seasonal, local ingredients, with cocktails named after Italian hand gestures such as Fumare and Che vuoi. Beyond it, executive chef Simone Caponnetto's Connessioni menu revives forgotten Florentine and Tuscan preparations through a contemporary lens. In the cellars, Labo-ttega is a bookable kitchen and mixology experience for small groups. The bar takes no reservations, and smart casual dress is recommended.
