Trattoria di' Sor Paolo
A farmhouse trattoria among the Chianti Classico vineyards outside Florence, cooking fried meats, handmade game pastas and grilled bistecca since 1989, with summer tables under a wisteria pergola.
Trattoria di' Sor Paolo has filled an old Tuscan farmhouse on the Via Cassia since 1989, surrounded by the Chianti Classico vineyards between Florence and San Casciano. Inside, fireplaces and wood stoves warm two floors of dining rooms; in summer the tables move under a loggia and a pergola of vines and wisteria. The pasta is made in house, from pappardelle with venison ragΓΉ to potato tortelli, and the fritto misto of meats alla fiorentina is the dish to order, alongside polenta crostini with porcini and pollo alla diavola from the grill. A cellar of more than fifty Tuscan wines backs it all up.
