Osteria Torre a Cona
The seasonal osteria of the Torre a Cona wine estate, set in the villa's former lemon house and garden, serving strictly Tuscan cooking and the estate's own wines from late March to early November.
Torre a Cona's osteria fills the villa's old limonaia, with tables spilling into a garden of wisteria and centuries-old trees at the edge of the monumental park. The kitchen cooks with strictly local, Tuscan ingredients: beef tartare with the estate's own mustard, duck ragu maccheroncino, rabbit porchetta with black truffle and a sauce of Torre a Cona vermouth. Weekday lunch is a lighter menu, while dinner and weekends go a la carte, and two tasting menus can be paired with the estate's wines. The Rossi di Montelera family owns the property, and the osteria opens daily from 20 March to 2 November.
