La Ménagère
Florence's first homeware shop, founded in 1896, now runs from morning coffee to late cocktails as a restaurant, bistrot, flower shop and boutique wrapped in blooms on Via de' Ginori.
La Ménagère opened in 1896 as the city's first homeware store and was reborn in 2015 as a many-roomed concept space steps from the Duomo. The bistrot starts the day as a coffee house with house cakes and filter coffee, then turns into a cocktail bar where the chef's tapas meet drinks by bartender Luca Cinalli. Dinner happens under a skylight beside a grand piano, in an English library or at a chef's table, from a seasonal menu built on Tuscan producers without regional cliché. Between courses, browse the florist and the homeware boutique that give the place its name.
