Castello Vicchiomaggio
A Renaissance castle above the Greve valley whose restaurant serves Tuscan classics under a vaulted ceiling or beneath century-old holm oaks, poured with Vicchiomaggio's own Chianti Classico labels.
Vicchiomaggio's restaurant occupies a vaulted Renaissance hall in the castle, and in good weather tables move out under the century-old holm oaks in the garden, looking over the Greve valley and its vineyards. The kitchen keeps to Tuscan recipes with a lighter touch: egg pappardelle with wild boar ragu, tortelli filled with red prawn and scallop, beef cheek braised in the estate's Chianti Classico Riserva, and bistecca sold by weight. Lunch runs every day and dinner four nights a week, and the castle asks guests to book ahead. The Gambero Rosso 2026 guide added it for the first time with one Forchetta.
