Wolfsbane
Rupert and Carrie Blease's Michelin-starred Dogpatch dining room, where a seasonal Californian tasting menu with Nordic, Japanese and French accents unfolds in a sunlit, amber-curtained former industrial space.
Wolfsbane marks the return of Rupert and Carrie Blease, the couple behind Lord Stanley, and it earned a Michelin star in the 2026 California guide within its first year. The format is a single multicourse tasting menu built on Bay Area farms and fisheries, moving from snacks like the onion petal and a nasturtium 'dolma' through king salmon, scallop and dry-aged Liberty duck to pain au jus with the house sourdough. Caviar and Japanese A5 wagyu come as supplements. Walk-ins can skip the full menu at the communal bar table, which serves an a la carte list alongside cocktails and a serious wine list.
Best for: A special-occasion tasting menu
