Ristoro di Lamole
A hillside restaurant in the wine hamlet of Lamole above Greve, run by the same partners since 1993, with vineyard views reaching San Gimignano and a cellar built around Lamole producers.
Ristoro di Lamole has watched over the Lamole hillside above Greve in Chianti since 1993, when Paolo and Filippo fell for the place; Paolo's daughter Marta joined the business in 2019. The terrace looks west past vines still trained in the old alberello style toward the towers of San Gimignano. Chef Ettore De Benedetto keeps a short list of fixtures: a red onion and truffle sformatino served for nearly thirty years, pecorino and pear ravioli, stuffed paccheri with porcini, and bistecca from trusted local butchers. The cellar showcases every Lamole estate. Open daily, March to November.
Best for: Long Chianti lunch with a view
