Place des Fêtes comes from the team behind Oxalis, now part of Redwood Hospitality alongside Cafe Mado and Laurel Bakery, and it opened on Greene Avenue in the spring of 2022. The list leans hard into natural wine from Spain and France, with a particular eye on Catalonia and southwest France, backed by sherry and a short cocktail menu. The kitchen keeps pace with simple, seasonal, seafood-forward plates: mussels en tinta, sardine toast with smoked butter, crispy maitake with black garlic fudge. Reservations go through Resy, walk-ins are always welcome, and the restaurant holds a place in the Michelin Guide.
