Restaurant Naides
Patrick Gabon and Celine Wuu's jewel-box tasting counter off Union Square serves a modern Filipino menu of 11 to 13 courses, and earned a Michelin star in its first year.
Restaurant Naides is named for chef Patrick Gabon's mother and run with partner Celine Wuu, alumni of Sons & Daughters and Benu respectively. It opened in December 2025 in the former Sons & Daughters space on Bush Street, with the kitchen at the center of an intimate dining room and a prepaid tasting menu of 11 to 13 servings built on fermentation, preservation and foraged California ingredients. Michelin's inspectors point to brioche pandesal with braised chicken gizzard sisig and dry-aged duck adobo. Reservations open on Tock on the 15th of each month for the following month.
Best for: A special-occasion Filipino tasting menu
