ATOMIX
A U-shaped counter in a Murray Hill townhouse where Chef Junghyun Park and Ellia Park turn Korean tradition into one of New York's most sought-after tasting menus.
Two Michelin stars and a top-ten finish on the World's 50 Best list have made Atomix's ten-course counter menu one of the hardest reservations in the city. Husband-and-wife team Junghyun 'JP' and Ellia Park built the space around the Korean concept of 'ato,' or gift, pairing dishes like black banana with monkfish liver against grilled Norwegian langoustine in truffle gel. Seating is limited to just fourteen at the downstairs Chef's Counter, with a separate bar tasting experience upstairs for those who book ahead.
Best for: A special-occasion tasting menu for guests who want front-row seats to two-Michelin-star Korean cooking
