La Goulue Palm Beach
The Palm Beach sibling of the 1972 Upper East Side institution, where the Gruyère cheese soufflé still leads a Belle Époque bistro menu under the awnings of the Palm Way Building.
La Goulue was founded in New York in 1972 by restaurateur Jean Denoyer and opened this second location on South County Road in 2020. Executive Chef Gwen Le Pape runs a classic French bistro menu: the signature Gruyère and truffle cheese soufflé, onion soup, escargots, moules frites, duck confit and steak au poivre vert. Service runs from lunch and weekend brunch through an afternoon apéro to dinner, with a sidewalk terrace and a brass-topped bar. A 12 oz prime rib is carved tableside on Wednesdays and Sundays, and private events seat 14 to 50.
Best for: A long lunch on the terrace or a soufflé-and-Bordeaux dinner
