Dalida
Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz cook Eastern Mediterranean food with Istanbul at its heart inside the Presidio's historic barracks, with mezes for sharing, Anatolian pastas and a patio facing the parade lawn.
Dalida occupies the Montgomery Street Barracks on the Presidio's Main Post, a national park setting that feels far from downtown. Chefs Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz, the duo behind Noosh and the Istanbul Modern pop-up, cook a menu that moves through Turkish, Greek, Armenian and Levantine influences under a philosophy of little plates in the middle. Start with breaking bread and the crispy saffron California tahdig, then share Kayseri manti and the Aleppo half chicken, while the bar works foraged Presidio aromatics into its cocktails, and the wine list runs past four hundred bottles, with bar and lounge seats held for walk-ins.
Best for: Long shared lunches and weekend brunch
