Maialino (vicino)
Danny Meyer's Roman trattoria brings NoMad a menu of carbonara, cacio e pepe, and suckling pig alongside a deep Italian wine program.
Maialino (vicino) is Union Square Hospitality Group's continuation of the original Gramercy Park Hotel Maialino, relocated to The Redbury Hotel on East 30th Street. The kitchen sticks to trattoria-style Roman cooking — house-made pastas, cured meats, and the namesake suckling pig — while the adjoining bar pours an award-recognized selection of Italian wines by the glass and bottle.
Best for: Date nights and Roman-trattoria classics with a serious Italian wine list
